pEATT Module 2 is all PRACTICAL!!! That means you will only find paperwork here and some information about how to proceed.

Before you continue: You MUST have completed pEATT Module 1:1 and Module 1:2 before you register for Module 2. The theoretical knowledge that has been presented is a must to know, so that everybody can gain the most from this practical training. 

Practicalities

Unless we are hosted somewhere else, the practical trainings take place in the Kusel area in Germany. The location will either take place at our regular barn or our farm. Both locations are about 3,5 km apart. We recommend looking for accomodations in the Rheinland Pfalz, Germany, "KUSEL" area (zip codes 66887 and 66879). You will be informed of the exact location once you officially register by emailing your registration form to: [email protected]. 

If you are interested in hosting a training at a location near you, we need at least 12 participants (excluding you) to be able to hold the training. Please contact me if you are interested in hosting.

How to get to our location in Germany:

The nearest airport is Frankfurt (about 2 hours away by car). There are trains from the airport and to the small villages close by to the training facility, but not directly to either location. Public transportation to either barn or farm is very limited, therefore we recommend you having access to a car. Cars can be rented at the airport. I highly recommend car sharing and encourage you to post any requests on the messaging board.

Accommodation

There are some B&B, smaller hotels and AirBnB's in the area.

Food

There are grocery stores and smaller restaurants in the vicinity of the larger cities, either Kusel or Ramstein or Kaiserslautern (about 25 km away). Your training fee includes a light lunch and snacks during the training days and, if we host at our farm, coffee, tea and water (there is no electricity at our stables). We ask you to please bring your own cups/drinking containers and/or water containers to where you contribute to not producing much waste.

What you need for the training

We will be outdoors all day. We do not have a covered arena and will spend a lot of time on the pasture with and around horses. Even if some shelter exists from rain and/or sun, bring what you need according to weather, season and your personal needs. Depending on the season, we do have a lot of horse flies and gnats. Please make sure to bring what you need to be comfortable under these conditions. 


Please also bring your own notebook and pen. Or any other things you need to write down observations, self reflections and personal notes. As this training is a practical training, with as much experiential learning as possible, we will not supply you with a handout.
