Dissociation = "Sick"
"Structural Dissociation" - the word "dissociation" alone typically evokes many thoughts and feelings. In the clinical field, unfortunately, I have encountered numerous people/clients, who were told that "as long as you dissociate, you can not attend sessions".
Anybody working in the mental health field has learned at least one of the many clinical approaches. Each approach defines "clients" or "patients" and ultimately "humans" based on a set of theories.
In this course, you will look at dissociation and complex PTSD (Posttraumatic Stress Dis-order), as both topics are closely intertwined. The information presented in this course will give you some clinical aspects, but also a different perspective: one that is not "dysfunctional" but instead "functional", with the human in the center field.
